For over a year I have been attending a weekly early morning Boot Camp.
It's run by Aimie Smith, a local PT, who having made some amazing changes in her own life, is encouraging and inspiring others to do the same.
Boot Camp has been fantastic at improving my strength, stamina and flexibility and with Aimie's advice about improving our diets, I have now acquired a green smoothie a day habit!
Yesterday, Aimie invited a guest to run a three hour 'Introduction to Meditation' session. What a fascinating morning, we came away with a host of one minute relaxation exercises, enough knowledge to start meditating and plenty of inspiration for further reading.
This morning, I downloaded a free meditation timer, sat quietly and meditated for 12 minutes. I timed my breaths per minute afterwards and comfortably managed 3-4. It's a good start.
21 days to develop a new habit, 8 weeks to make a difference,10,000 hours practice to become an expert. Here goes....
